TapTalk does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you add stays on your device.
TapTalk is a communication app for children, made by Michael Fender. It was built to be private by design. This policy explains what the app does — and, more importantly, what it does not do — with your information.
What stays on your device
All the content you create in TapTalk — photos, voice recordings, card labels, folders, phrases, and your PIN — is stored only on your device. None of it is uploaded, transmitted, or sent to us or anyone else. The app works fully offline and does not require an internet connection.
What we collect
Nothing. TapTalk has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. We have no servers that receive your data, because the app never sends any.
Permissions
Microphone — used only so you can record your own voice for cards, quick words, and phrases. Recordings are saved on your device and never leave it. The microphone is not used at any other time.
Backups
TapTalk lets you export a backup file so you can save your content or move it to another device. That file is created only when you choose to export it, and you control where it goes. We never see it. Treat a backup like a family photo album — keep it somewhere you trust.
Children's privacy
TapTalk is designed to be used by children with the involvement of a parent or caregiver. Because the app collects and transmits no data at all, it does not gather any information from children, or from anyone.
If you email us
TapTalk includes a link to contact the developer by email. Tapping it opens your own email app — the app itself never sends anything. If you do choose to write to us, we will of course have your email address and whatever you put in your message. We use that only to reply to you and to look into anything you report. We will not add you to a mailing list, and we will not pass your details to anyone else.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
